Just a few weeks ago, around 2,500 people gathered to join us in celebrating 60 years of Open Doors. As part of the day, we were honoured to hear from Rev Farouk Hammo, a church leader from Baghdad, Iraq. You can listen to his talk here to get a bit of his incredible testimony, a short, recent history of Iraq, his amazing attitude towards persecution and his view on the current needs.
Rev Hammo says “Christianity without pain and hardship is like a soup without salt. Pain opens hearts to hear the word of God…” He knows that persecution brings maturity in faith.
