It’s the summer festival season, and loads of you will be heading off to all sorts of campsites and country fields to pitch your tents and spend a while worshipping God with hundreds, if not thousands of others at some brilliant events.
It’s likely you’ll pick up a few new tunes on the way to help you connect with God a bit more, but here’s some of our fave tunes on the theme of being dependant on God. We might not face the same needs and troubles like our family in the persecuted church, but we all need to be aware of how much we need Him, and these songs bring that back home in a big way. So, take ten minutes, watch, sing along and connect with God again!
It starts with the line, ‘By grace alone, somehow I stand’. We’re dependent on his grace to see us through.
‘We are lost without you God’. Say’s it all really…
‘Even when the waters rise and the waves are crashing over… Surely you are holding on’. Something to remember and hold on to…
This summer at Soul Survivor we’re going to be asking thousands of you to stand with Egyptian Christians and your persecuted family by wearing a temporary cross tattoo on your hand and wrist. The cross tattoo looks just like those many Coptic Christians get when they are young. Look out for our (fake) tattoo parlour in the ToolShed at Soul Survivor weeks A, B & C. Come along to get inked with a cross tattoo, like many Egyptian Christians, and stand with those who know the real cost of following Jesus.
We support people who are beaten, tortured,
imprisoned, falsely accused, and hated simply for following Jesus.
