Blackout

Make a big noise for persecuted Christians by keeping quiet!
Blackout

Join the Thunderclap!

We’ll be setting up a Thunderclap for our Blackout events to make a massive noise about persecution of Christians on Facebook and Twitter.

What’s a Thunderclap?

Thunderclap is a crowd-speaking platform that helps people be heard by saying something together. If enough people support our Blackout Thunderclap, then a timed post will be blasted out on Facebook, Tumblr or Twitter from everyone who has signed up, creating a wave of attention.

What’s the Blackout Thunderclap going to say?

The message we hope to send out is the following:

“I’m going quiet online for a few days to stand with those silenced for following Jesus. #odblackout http://thndr.it/19uSZ28”

The post uses our Blackout hashtag and links back to our Blackout webpage, so along with spreading a message about support of Christians who are persecuted for their faith, you’ll also be promoting our Blackout events! It’s a great way to get behind Blackout, raising prayers, awareness and money – so do please help!

I’m game, how do I sign up?

Just head to our Thunderclap page and sign in using one of your social profiles:
2015 Thunderclap coming soon…

Is it safe? What exactly am I letting it do?

Thunderclaps have been used by all sorts of people to promote good causes. We’ll only use it to send one single message (that you’ve already read), and that message will go out on 13th March at 7pm. Although the app asks to access your friends list, that is just a legal requirement. The post will just be displayed on your wall – it won’t be a direct message to friends – that might be a bit intrusive.

Simple – one single message, that will be posted just on your wall/profile. With hundreds of other people also doing the same, we should make a massive noise about Blackout and persecution of Christians around the world!
2015 Thunderclap coming soon…

We support people who are beaten, tortured,
imprisoned, falsely accused, and hated simply for following Jesus.
