You’re invited to a Secret Screening!

By Dan Etheridge

You might not know, but Open Doors began 60 years ago when Brother Andrew packed a suitcase full of flyers about Jesus and headed off to Poland to crash a communist youth festival. During his time in Poland he first met Christians who were persecuted for following Jesus. That was 1955 and six decades later, you know how the ministry he began has grown into what it is today.

We’d love you to join us in celebrating that first step Brother Andrew took, and the sixty years that have followed. As part of our anniversary we’ve produced a quality, brand new short film, ‘The Cost’, and would love you to be at the launch party (that we’re hosting with our mates at Shift), so get the dates and venue below in your diary!

The première

Date: Wednesday 15th July
Time: From 7.30pm til 10.30 (Screening at 8.45pm with live band before and after)
Location: Bar Kick, 127 Shoreditch High Street, London, E1 6JE
Venue website directions…
Cost: Nout. It’s our birthday, so it’s on us

About the film

We’ll get the big screens out and show the premiere of our new short film ‘The Cost’ to help celebrate our 60th. The film explores that first decision Brother Andrew made to step out and say ‘Yes’ to God. But it will also introduce you to some amazing Christians in Syria who are risking everything to follow Jesus in the midst of war, persecution and devastation. It’s inspiring, challenging and a great way to highlight what Open Doors has been about for the last 60 years!

The rest of the night

It’s pretty simple. We’ll be in a nice bar with some drinks, a few canapés, decent music, some fun little distractions and of course a load quality people that we know you’ll get on well with! There might even be some birthday cake. We promise it’ll be a good night all round.

RVSP

Like any good party, spaces are limited, so please let us know if you can come. We’d love to see you there. Use the form up on this page to let us know you are coming, and how many tickets you’d like.
