Standing firm despite threats

Please pray for Abdul* a middle aged man from a country in Central Asia. Abdul became a Christian, and as he lives in a small village in a predominantly Muslim country, people soon found out about his decision.

Abdul is under constant pressure from other villagers because of his faith in Jesus. Recently a group of young Muslim men came into his house and told him to renounce his faith in Jesus – if he didn’t they threatened him, saying he would regret it. However, Abdul is standing firm. He’s decided to stick with his faith, standing firm in Christ. He says he is ready to pay the price for his faith: “I might be kicked from the village, I could be beaten, but Jesus went through it all, so who am I to not go through what my Lord went through?”

Please pray for brother Abdul, his courage spirit, and the testimony of his faith.

• Ask God to protect Abdul and change the hearts of those seeking to hurt him.
• Pray that Abdul’s commitment to Jesus would make others question their own beliefs. Pray that Abdul’s witness would see many come to know Jesus’ love.
