Malaysia: Pastor still missing

In February 2017, Pastor Raymond Koh was kidnapped in a military style operation. His car was stopped on a busy road by a well-trained group who stopped traffic so their actions couldn’t be seen. Pastor Koh has been missing ever since – and we’ve been sharing his story…

Thank you so much for all of your prayers and actions urging the Malaysian government to look into the disappearance of Pastor Koh – your voice is making a difference. Pastor Koh’s wife, Susan, continues to ask for an independent and impartial investigation into the matter. She has reported that two different cabinet members have now publicly called for inquiries and investigations into the abductions of her husband and three others.

At the end of July, de facto Law Minister Liew Vui Keong publicly stated that it is unacceptable that missing Pastor Raymond Koh and three activists have yet to be traced. Liew said instructions have been given to police to look deeper into their disappearance.

“This is unacceptable that people are missing in our country and I have asked the police to investigate deeper. We must know what happened to them and who is responsible for their disappearance,” he said. This move is to be welcomed, but the police have been accused of complicity in the abductions.

Susan offers her thanks for all of your support: “Prov. 31:8-9: ‘Open your mouth for the speechless, in the cause of all who are appoint to die. Open your mouth, judge righteously, plead the cause of the poor and the needy.’ Thank you, brethren, for being the voice for the voiceless. Continue to pray and fight for the immediate release of Pastor Raymond Koh and others so that they may be reunited with their families and do the will of God.”
