Chances are, you’re looking at this page as you’ll soon be giving a talk to a church, youth group or at an event about Open Doors or persecution of Christians. So, first things first, thank you! It’s amazing to have you sharing stories of brave faith and getting the word out about our persecuted family.

We believe 100% that the passion, faith and perseverance of many persecuted Christians can inspire and transform our own faith. Our family in the persecuted church truly know the cost of following Jesus. They challenge our comfortable Christian existence, calling us to be more radical, more loving, more forgiving… In truth, they challenge us to be more like Jesus! We need them to keep pushing us to take risks and not settle.

But, our persecuted family also need us. They need our prayers. They need our practical help. They need us to speak up for them.

As you tell the story of the persecuted church we want you to both inspire people to better follow Jesus AND show them how they can respond to the needs of their church family around the world. It’s not one or the other, but both.

To help you, we’ve created some PowerPoint presentations (all with talk notes – you’ll find these as notes in the presentations themselves) and provided you with a bunch of movies and films you can share too. These resources are guides, so feel free to add your own experiences and stories – we want it to be personal. If appropriate, print out and take along some of the sign up sheets, ask us for latest resources and have a chat to us about ongoing or upcoming campaigns to make sure you’re pointing any interested people in the right direction!

Here’s a breakdown of the talks:

• World Watch List 2022 / Intro to persecution
  A quick overview of what persecution is, where it is happening, why we should care and how we can respond. Featuring stories from North Korea and India.
• Guts and Courage
  A challenge to live out our faith in Jesus with greater boldness inspired by five stories of young persecuted Christians. Includes country profiles and prayers.
• Pray With Them
  A talk on prayer with examples of incredible prayers from persecuted Christians. Includes country profiles and prayers to pray.
